Town & Country Heating and Plumbing Ltd acquired Booth & Bomford in 2021, and recently the two companies have merged under the Town & Country Heating and Plumbing name. This merger strengthens Town & Country’s service offering by integrating Booth & Bomford's established electrical expertise.
Booth & Bomford Limited, originally incorporated in 1914, had offices in Evesham and Cardiff. The company then focused 95% on electrical services, gradually incorporating mechanical services over 20 years. Booth & Bomford expanded by opening an office in Rodney Road, Cheltenham. The Cheltenham office then moved to Mead Road. After Mr. LP Cotterell stepped down as director, Richard and Chris Cotterell took over. In 1999, the company relocated to Andoversford, balancing its mechanical and electrical divisions.
In 2002, Chris Cotterell resigned, and the offices moved back to Mead Road, Cheltenham. Sarah Cotterell, Richard’s sister, became a director in 2004 but resigned in 2008, leaving Richard Cotterell as the sole director. In 2021, Dan Clifford and Nathan Loveridge acquired the company. By 2022, Booth & Bomford had relocated to Staverton to be closer to Town & Country. Finally, in 2024, Booth & Bomford was integrated into Town & Country Heating and Plumbing, completing the merger process, and enhancing the company's capabilities in electrical services.
'As a former employee of Booth & Bomford, it has been a fantastic opportunity to be able to acquire the business, this has strengthened our brand, and we look forward to the future.'
Dan Clifford, Director, Town & Country Heating & Plumbing Ltd
